Wimbledon is just 6 days away and we are yet to know the entire draws for the competition and which players will be featuring in the upcoming Grand Slam event. There are already many big stars who are set to play in the tournament and are no doubt the favourites to win the entire tournament and players who are capable of being a potential threat to the top-ranked players in the mix as well.

Though we might not have the entire holy trinity in the setup, we still have two of the biggest favourites who will most likely be seen in the tournament. They are none other than the Spanish prodigy Carlos Alcaraz and the Italian sensation Jannik Sinner. These two are currently the two young people who have been enjoying a great season and have also got Grand Slams to their names. While Jannik Sinner came out victorious in Melbourne, it was Carlos Alcaraz who was the man of the moment in Paris by winning the Roland Garros. They are probably the two best players in the World right now in this modern generation of talents.

Who is the proper favourite?

There is no doubt that these two are currently in top form right now with both of them being among the top three players in the rankings as well. These two have also had a great battle in the game as well, and have been in a total of 9 encounters this season, where it is Alcaraz who just about has the edge over Jannik Sinner winning 5 games against the Italian. However, when it comes to grass it is Alcaraz who has had more success and he will also be the current defending champion going into this tournament. Looking at Sinner's record in the tournament he has only managed a semi-final finish last year.

The Odds

Player Best Odds Implied Probability
Carlos Alcaraz 15/8 35%
Jannik Sinner 19/10 34%
Novak Djokovic 9/2 18%
Alexander Zverev 14/1 7%
Daniil Medvedev 20/1 5%

looking at these odds as well though it is a tough competition between the two players, we can easily see that it is Alcaraz who seems to be the absolute favourite to win Wimbledon 2024 this season. Though we know that the game of tennis is very unpredictable, It is the young Spaniard who is the favourite with a probability of 35% compared to Sinner who just falls short with a probability of 34% overall.
