World No. 3 ranked player Carlos Alcaraz defeated Alex De Minaur at the Rotterdam Open 2025 Finals. The Spaniard beat the Aussie by 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 to clinch the ABN Amro Open title. This is the first indoor title for the 21-year-old player, who has 4 Grand Slam titles.
Carlos recently played in the Australian Open Grand Slam and was defeated by tennis legend Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals. The Spanish player already has Wimbledon, US Open and French Open titles under his name. He has yet to win the Australian Open title but with his age, he can still win the championship one day.

Alcaraz started well by winning the first set 6-4 but in the second set, the Australian gave a good fight back and won the game with 6-3. The third set was the decider and both players fought hard to clinch the final. But in the end, Alcaraz emerged as the winner by securing the third set by 6-2.
Alex de Minaur is yet to win a match against Alcaraz, as he lost all three matches against him. This is the 17th title for the 21-year-old player and the first for him since the China Open win. Carlos Alcaraz started his campaign against Botic Van de Zandschulp in the first match. He then played against Hubert Hurkacz in the semifinals.
After defeating Alex in the finals, Carlos said, “This week has been a really good week. Coming here with, let’s say, not feeling 100 percent well with the cold but after every day I’m feeling better thanks to you.” The Australian player also congratulated the Spaniard for his incredible gameplay and skills. Alex also played in the 2024 Rotterdam finals against Jannik Sinner and suffered a straight-set defeat. Talking about his two runner-up campaigns, the Australian said, “It’s been two years now with this runner-up trophy; I’m hoping I get my hand on the winners’ one day!”
