Tennis star Holger Rune was slammed by former ATP star Tim Henman after his third-round clash against Quentin Halys in the French Open 2025. Notably, Rune and Halys played a five-match set thriller, with the former winning this clash to storm into the fourth round at Roland Garros. The Denmark-born star has defeated Halys with a scoreline of 4-6, 6-2, 5-7, 7-5, 6-2.

With the third set tied at 5-5, Holger Rune was seen urging the chair umpire to remove a fan from the iconic Philippe-Chatrier court. The star players stated that the fan in question attempted to grab him, but the replays have shown that this wasn't the case.

As per the footage, the world number 10 deliberately kicked a hoarding and threw his towel with the fans staring at him from a close distance. Thereafter, the fan made the move and reached towards the towel and not for Rune.

Speaking about the same subject, Tim Henman, who has been a part of the TNT Sports broadcasting team, has slammed Rune for his disgusting behavior.

"I think the fan is probably looking to get a bit involved but you could see Rune going over there giving the advertising hoarding a kick and slamming the towel down and then going back to it. At the end of the day it’s that type of attitude that we have seen a lot from Rune and he has to focus his attention to what is happening between the lines," Henman told TNT Sports.

Tim Henman lauds Jack Draper's attitude

Meanwhile, Jack Draper had defeated Gael Monfils in the second round in Paris. There were a few moments in this game when frustration was visible on the British star's face. However, he defeated the 38-year-old Frenchman. Henman feels that Rune should learn from Draper's attitude if he wants to truly excel.

"I take it back to Jack Draper last night playing against Gael Monfils, the French local hero, and he was so resilient and tough and only had one very brief moment of frustration at a change of ends when he let off steam," he added further.
