Aryna Sabalenka continued her excellent record in Wuhan with her Quarterfinal win over Elena Rybakina in the 2025 WTA Championship in China. The star player beat the Kazakhstan star 6-3, 6-3 in the straight sets to storm into the semifinal. In the process, she won her 20th consecutive match in Wuhan.

Before the two big matches, the Belarusian star has a sensational 20-0 win-loss record in Wuhan. It was yet another near perfect outing for the World No.1, who claimed a comfortable win over one of her best challengers in the world. Sabalenka was too good and it seemed as if Rybakina had no chance.

In both the sets, Sabalenka was highly dominant. Despite minor hiccups, the 2025 US Open Winner was able to grab the first set 6-3, which ensured momentum on her back. She rode on it for the rest of the match, didn't let Rybakina into the game, and sealed the deal with a 6-3 win in the second set.

After the match, Sabalenka was interviewed, where she was asked about her great record in Wuhan. The star player felt it to be a crazy record and felt she has some special connection with the Chinese fans. Sabalenka claimed that she feels like playing at home when in China.
