Aryna Sabalenka has been one of the best Tennis players since 2023, as she has been able to win three Grand Slams, finish second in other three, and even top the world rankings on many instances. However, it was not an easy porcess, as she had to overcome a tough mental battle, in which she neraly decided to quit Tennis.
Sabalenka opened up on it in an interview with Cosmopolitan and claimed her mental space was tough around 2022, where she had a lot to worry about. The star player said a lot was going in her head and it was hard for her to deal with it. She claimed the focus was to fix her serve, which didn't work easily.

"It was such a long process. A lot of tennis is in your head. You’re always talking to yourself and dealing with emotional moments. We truly tried everything to fix my serve, and nothing worked. I thought maybe it was a sign to quit and do something else," said Sabalenka.

While she initially decided to quit, Sabalenka added that it was a turning point in her career, as she worked harder and found herself. She claimed to form a team of different members and thanked them for a change in her career.

"But it ended up being a turning point for me. I stayed with it, worked even harder, and mentally, I found myself. I got through by trying over and over again. I talked a lot with my team and brought new people into the team. It’s very important to have the right people around you, especially during those moments. It’s all about support," Sabalenka added.
