Kalinskaya set to miss Paris Olympics

Both Kalinskaya and Sinner failed to enter the Wimbledon semis. Kalinskaya was forced to retire from the tournament after suffering an injury during the fourth-round match against Elena Rybakina. Meanwhile, Sinner lost to Daniil Medvedev in the quarter-finals.

Top seed Sinner, who opted out of the ongoing Bastad Open due to fatigue, will next be seen at the upcoming Paris Olympics, starting on July 26. However, Kalinskaya is likely to miss the event as she is expected to take longer to recover.

Speaking after her exit from Wimbledon, Kalinskaya told the press: "I started to feel my wrist in the fourth game of the match. I don't know yet. I haven't seen a doctor, so I can't say much about what's going on with my wrist. It was affecting a lot my serve and the first ball after the serve. I was feeling a little bit numb after. So, yeah, it was affecting me quite a lot. I thought it would go away, but it didn't. I decided to stop because I was not feeling any better."
