Jannik Sinner and his girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya are currently away from tennis action after their early exit from Wimbledon 2024. The duo made a strong start to the tournament in the men's and women's singles respectively, but unfortunately, their campaign came to an abrupt end.

Kalinskaya was eliminated in the fourth round after suffering an injury during her match against Elena Rybakina. Her boyfriend Sinner was knocked out the following day after losing to Daniil Medvedev in the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, the World No. 1 revealed in the post-match interview that he had not been feeling well since the morning of the match.

Sinner was considered one of the favourites to win the tournament. There was criticism from some Italian media that the relationship with Kalinskaya was the reason for his defeat. Reports pointed out that the 22-year-old should have avoided attending the matches of his girlfriend.

Meanwhile, Sinner has decided to take a break from the game, citing fatigue and confirming his unavailability for the upcoming Bastad Open 2024. The Italian star is understood to be spending a few days in Costa Smeralda with his girlfriend Kalinskaya.

Both were seen together at Olda airport earlier. A video and a few pictures of the couple are doing the rounds on social media where they are chilling at the beach.

Sinner's time off from the Swedish tournament is in preparation for the Paris Olympics, which begin on July 26. The top seed will return to Monte Carlo to train for the international multi-sport event. Notably, he won two major events this year - the Australian Open and Halle Championship. The Olympics will be crucial for the youngster to return to form after a Wimbledon upset.

“I went off the court actually. I didn’t want to go off. The physio told me better to take some time because he watched me, and I didn’t seem in shape to play. I was struggling physically. It was not an easy moment. I tried to fight with what I had today,” Sinner had said after his quarter-final defeat.
