Tennis star Andy Murray recently revealed it might be a suitable end to his career if he retired after the conclusion of Wimbledon or the Olympics in Paris, as now his retirement appears to be getting closer. The 37-year-old star, who already has double Olympic gold medals to his name and is a three-time grand slam winner, earlier disclosed that he doubted he would return to tennis again after the summer. The Brit star stated that the idea of taking part in Paris has been an important inspiration for him. Notably, he was selected for the British team on Sunday and is anticipated to take part in the Games.

His return to the tennis court will be a great move, not just for him but for his fans, who are extremely excited to witness him play. Notably, the former world number one sustained injuries over the past few weeks, which ruled him out for a plethora of days, and fans have missed him much on the tennis court. His presence at the upcoming Wimbledon, which is set to take place on July 1, will keep the fans happy, and they are also eager to see him represent England at the Paris Olympics.

Like I said, a lot of it is based on results and physically how I'm feeling as well: Andy Murray

In the same vein, Andy Murray revealed that he was thinking of retiring just after the grave injuries, as he had no plans to make his presence in the third Grand Slam of the year along with the upcoming Olympics game. In addition, the 37-year-old further stated that his results will be the outcome of his fitness in the upcoming marquee events.

"Probably if I was going to finish my career I would rather finish at Wimbledon or an Olympic Games. To me that would probably be more fitting. To get a chance to compete at a fifth one is a reason to stay motivated and continue playing. Like I said, a lot of it is based on results and physically how I'm feeling as well," Andy Murray says being quoted by Eurosport.
