It is safe to say it has been a season to remember for the 23-year-old superstar.

There is no doubt Jannik Sinner has been having a great time in the US Open so far and has made it to the third round on the back of some great wins. However, the Grand Slam event is something The Italian sensation has not really been very lucky. After his triumphant win in the Australian Open, He has struggled in the playoffs of the last two Grand Slam events he has played. These are the only tournaments Sinner would want to get some wins to make sure he remains at the number one rank for a long time.

Sinner's chances of US Open title look good after elimination of Djokovic and Alcaraz

The elimination of the top contenders in Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz has made it easier for him since they could have been his biggest obstacles in the tournament knowing their form in Grand Slam events. With the two top players out of the running it looks to be a tournament that belongs to Sinner.

There might be players like Frances Tiafoe, Andrey Rublev and Taylor Fritz who have the ability to beat the likes of Sinner, but so far have not had the same consistency as him. The only player who could give Sinner some competition is Daniil Medvedev who has also ruined his Wimbledon dream this season as well, but overall looking at  current form and confidence of the Italian there is no doubt that people will be considering him a clear favorite to win the US Open this season and stay on top of the rankings.
