There is no doubt that this deafeat has made a lot of headlines also considering the fact that Carlos Alcaraz was in great form before winning 2 Grand Slams and also had a silver medal to his name. This is the reason why it was so surprising seeing him lose against someone who was ranked 74 in the World. There has also been a considerate amount of criticism that the 21-year-old superstar after this disastrous exit from the last Grand Slam of the season.

Badosa shows her support to Carlos

There have been a lot of fans and experts who have been cricticizing Carlos for his performance in this major tournament which is quite surprising since before this he was regarded as one of the next big players to take over the game in the future. However, there has still been a lot of support that was given to him especially by fellow Spanish compatriot Paula Badosa, who has recently made it to round 4 of the competition. Badosa has shown her support to the World number 3 saying " I woke up this morning and I read all these negative comments because he lost in the second round and I thought ‘But he’s just won two Grand Slams and he’s been number one in the world. These criticisms surprise me."

She also requested to the fans that the fans still give him the love he deserves further adding to his statement saying " Everyone is human, everyone can lose in any round. Reading that makes me feel bad but I know that it is part of the job and that is what it is. He should be congratulated every day.” This a great gesture shown by Badosa not only showing support to her fellow countryman, but also giving him the respect as the World class player he is.
