We all have been impressed with the growth and consistency of many players, especially during this ATP tour and we are always looking forward to seeing these players perform as well.

One of these upcoming players is Alexander Zverev. The German sensation has given some great performances throughout his career and came into the spotlight after winning the gold medal in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. From there Zverev has been one of the upcoming stars in the game and is currently a world number 5 ranked player in ATP. Zverev has been an iconic player in the scene qualifying in 6 Grand Slam playoffs which also includes the final in the 2020 US Open.

Zverev becomes the German ATP1000 king

We all know the potential of players like Zverev and we all wanted him to win an ATP title this season as well. That wish was fulfilled as Zverev went on to beat Nicolas Jarry to win the recently concluded Italian Open title. This was Zverev's 2nd title in Rome and the 6th ATP 1000 title cementing him as the German player with the most ATP Masters 1000 titles. This is a great achievement for the young player who looks to be having a bright future ahead of him.

With this title, Zverev has now overtaken the likes of Boris Becker who had won 5 ATP 1000 titles and he is officially the ATP king among the German players. This tournament has played a great role in him being one of the favourites going into Paris as well for the Roland Garros. This will be the chance for Zverev to finally win his first ever Grand Slam title which is the only accomplishment missing in his great career.
