However, following the same, the star player suffered a defeat against Daniil Medvedev in round number four, which knocked him out of the quarterfinals. However, after being knocked out, the 26-year-old player was spotted talking about his daily routine, where he revealed that one can wake up late in the morning if one places themselves in the top 20 WTA rankings.

“I woke up at 7; who wakes up at 7?” Bublik asksPrakash Amritraj with the comic timing of a seasoned stand-up. “When you’re a professional tennis player, Top 20, you don’t need to wake up at 7. You can relax more in your life already.”

You go on Sunday instead of being with your family: Alexander Bublik

Meanwhile, the Russian-born player said that watching tennis games, especially on Sunday, is really boring, as one can enjoy that time with the family as well as drink wine over watching the game. The 26-year-old legend also shared his personal talks about his coach and how relaxed he is ahead of the French Open 2024, slated to take place on May 20.

“If you’re going down 1&1, I think, let’s try to remember the match in a different way. I always thought tennis is very boring and I think, imagine you paid the tickets, you go on Sunday instead of being with your family, drinking wine, you go see Sasha Bublik against Coric and it’s like, 32 minutes, 6-1, 2-1. I’d be like, ‘OK, do something, please! I paid 15,000 to watch you courtside. My coach is more relaxed than me. With all due respect, play yourself. I’ll see you before French," he added further in the video.
