Tennis great player Ons Jabeur has recently talked about the personal heartbreak she went through after suffering an embarrassing loss in the 2023 Wimbledon Championship Final. Notably, the 29-year-old player was very dominant in 2022 and 2023 but suffered back-to-back defeats in the final game, causing her heartbreak and affecting her mental health. The Tunisian-born player suffered a loss against Elena Rybakina back in the 2022 final game; however, Marketa Vondrousova defeated her despite being all-favourable to win the title owing to her dominance in the whole marquee event.

Notably, she lost the game by 4-6(2), which makes her very inconsolable and breaks her down into tears. The great player revealed that they were planning to become parents, but her 2023 final loss makes the situation extremely bad for her. She further highlights that she is now turning older, and she aims to bring her child during the tours and wishes to play in front of them.

"I think it was meant to be. Maybe I’m not ready to be a mum yet. Hopefully, I can get that title because I really, really want it. Obviously now coming from a couple of very difficult months, I will try to get there and hopefully one day I can be a mum and bring my kid to the tour. I’m not getting any younger and I feel like it’s important that I want to come back and have my kid with me on tour," Ons Jabeur said.

The truth is that everyone has a different personality on the court: Ons Jabeur

Meanwhile, Ons Jabeur has entered the quarterfinals of the Mutua Madrid Open 2024, where she defeated Ostapenko in the fourth round. However, the 29-year-old has recently also talked about the main incident that took place in the game, when Jelena had an awful reaction towards the fans after losing to her.

"The truth is that everyone has a different personality on the court. Everyone knows Jelena. She always tells me that sometimes the demons in her head come to light in the middle of the game, so I understand her. I was very motivated, maybe my bench also encouraged me, something I enjoy," she added further.
