Amit Shah addressed the gathering while he attended the felicitation ceremony of the 21st World Police and Fire Games-2025 in New Delhi. The Home Minister of India claimed wins and losses are a part and parcel of life and felt planning for winning shoulkd be one's nature while achieving it should be a habit.
Shah claimed that the focus of the Indian Government has been to take Sports to every village. He then claimed that the Indian government has given a lot of focus to Sports in the last 10 years with an increase of budget to five times. He then claimed that the government has been preparing about 3000 athletes for the Olympics 2036 with a monthly stipend of INR 50000.

"Under the leadership of PM Modi, sports has been given great importance in the last 10 years. The budget has been increased by five times. The government is also preparing for the 2036 Olympics by providing assistance of Rs 50,000 per month to approximately 3,000 athletes and is making a detailed systematic plan for it," said Shah in the addressing.

He then praised the police personnel who did well in the event. Shah felt being involved in sports regularly could help individuals improve their qulaity of work and relive stress.

"If all police personnel develop a habit of regular sports, it will not only relieve stress, but also improve the quality of work. If we achieve this goal, the record you have set this year will be surpassed by you at the World Police and Fire Games to be held in Gujarat in 2029," added Shah in his statement.
