Hardik Singh made a massive claim on the lack of attention the Indian Hockey players got compared to Dolly Chaiwala at the Airport during their return from the Bronze medal winning campaign at the Paris Olympics 2024. The Indian vice-captain claimed that the players were in disbelief to witness the lack of attention they got over Dolly in the Airport.

Hardik said that the Indian squad featured many star players. He said the likes of Harmanpreet Singh and Mandeep Singh who had over 150 and 100 international goals respectively did not get the attention from the fans either. Hardik said the Hockey players were not as popular as a tea seller in India.
