At WrestleDream 2024, Kyle Fletcher stabbed Will Ospreay in the back, costing his longtime buddy the International Title. Fletcher was rather vocal during the October 23 AEW Dynamite. During Dynamite this week, Kyle Fletcher and Don Callis entered the ring, and he gave a great promo. He has been likened to Ospreay throughout his career, according to the full promotional campaign.
Fletcher said that upon arriving at AEW, he was referred to as the next Will Ospreay. He has been living under that shadow for a while now. He's sick of it. Ospreay gave up doing it himself when Fletcher declared that he would take him out with Tiger Driver after Tiger Driver. During this intense advertisement, spectators repeatedly screamed for Fletcher to finish.
On tonight's October 23 edition of Dynamite, an AEW star live shaved his head in the center of the ring. Don Callis and Kyle Fletcher were interviewed in the ring following Shelton Benjamin's victory over Sammy Guevara in the evening's first encounter. After talking for a few minutes about his desire to demonstrate that he is not at all like Will Ospreay, Fletcher went one step further to support his claim.

Kyle Fletcher to have match with Will Ospreay
According to Fletcher, he may have enjoyed the similarities at one point because Will Ospreay was the kingpin when he joined the United Empire. According to Fletcher, Ospreay's stabbing of Okada in the back was the reason he left NJPW and joined AEW. He talked about Ospreay's past with Omega and how they were contrasted before Ospreay destroyed Omega with a screwdriver. According to Fletcher, he departed before Ospreay betrayed him.
To demonstrate that he is nothing like Ospreay, Fletcher cuts his hair off after concluding his speech. Although a date for the two to play is not yet set, it appears certain at this stage. When Fletcher and Callis helped Konosuke Takeshita defeat Ospreay and Ricochet in a three-way match to become the International Champion, Fletcher betrayed Ospreay at AEW WrestleDream. Takeshita, Fletcher, Lance Archer, and Brian Cage make up the current Don Callis family lineup. Following Fletcher's segment, Archer and Cage also collaborated to win a tag match on tonight's AEW Dynamite.
