Ricochet went one-on-one with Will Ospreay ahead of their match on AEW Dynamite. As Renee Paquette hosted them, Ricochet spoke about his move from WWE to AEW and claimed it to be a personal choice. He claimed to join AEW to show a different and deeper side of his which he was afraid or embarrassed to show in WWE.
Ricochet looked at how he has been challenged by different wrestlers even before seeing the landscape of AEW. The star wrestler claimed that Don Callis, Kyle Fletcher, PAC, and Will Ospreay had something to say to him. Ricochet felt he had made a point just a month into his new roster.

Ricochet remembered Will's social media comment of asking him to know his worth. He twisted it and said Ospreay begged him to join AEW. Ospreay clarified by saying Ricochet had indeed forgitten who he was. Will said Ricochet was showing a lot of personality in the showdown which was lacking in WWE.
Ricochet believes pressure is on Will Ospreay, not him
He added that Prince Puma was under pressure by leaving a secured job and guaranteed money. He added that Ricochet was up against the best wrestler in the world (Pointing at himself). Will said Ricochet had to overcome the best in the world to win the International Championship.
Will claimed AEW to be the place where the best wrestle was and added that he anticipated their match for 8 years. Will Ospreay hope to see the best version of Ricochet he looked up to in the past come to their faceoff? He claimed pressure was on Ricochet and not on him.
The former WWE Superstar saw it differently. He said irrespective of the result of his match, people tend to say he's good, scream, and yell at him. He felt people appreciate him by default and added Ospreay had the pressure to win. Ricochet felt Will had to prove himself as the best in the world by beating his mate. Will hoped to do the same.
