With Mercedes Mone defeating her to win the TBS Championship, Harley Cameron's homecoming did not go as planned at AEW Grand Slam: Australia. Arriving at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre to a hero's welcome, Cameron was arguably the most sentimental favourite heading into the Grand Slam.
With Harley Cameron's CEO puppet also playing a role, the two women exchanged momentum. The crowd cheered enthusiastically when Harley was named from Australia, causing a major reaction. However, when Mercedes arrived, she was met with thunderous jeers. Who was the fan favourite was obvious. The conflict went back and forth. Harley pulled out the puppet while under the ring, which infuriated Mone.
As Cameron took charge, the audience erupted in chants of "Feel the Wrath." She secured a near fall with a soaring body press and a destroyer. Mone returned with a powerful powerbomb and then a Meteora off the ropes. The audience roared when Cameron was kicked out. After Mercedes Mone slid out of the way, Cameron kicked back in the 619 styles and climbed to the top rope, but she missed a Swanton. With a swift strike on the Money Maker, Mone won and kept her championship.

Mone successfully defended her TBS Championship
Mone successfully defended her TBS Championship for the fourteenth time in a row with her Mone Maker, despite Cameron's best efforts. The champion delighted in front of Momo Watanabe of STARDOM, who was seated ringside, even if she didn't stay in the ring with Cameron after winning. Although Cameron's failure may disappoint many, it simply serves to highlight the CEO's willingness to crush the dreams of any rivals, even those in their nation. It is unclear who will finally put a stop to Mone's remarkable tenure as champion and whether Watanabe will win the TBS gold.
