Mercedes Mone will make her first Indie appearance after more than ten years at House of Glory

On March 15, Mercedes Mone will return to the indie scene for the first time since 2011 at House of Glory in New York City. The event at the NYC Arena will be headlined by the AEW TBS Champion, and fans are already speculating who will take against The CEO. Although Mercedes Mone, the current TBS Champion, is enjoying life at AEW, it may be lonely at the top. 

Mercedes Mone successfully defended her TBS Championship on the January 31 episode of AEW Dynamite, ending the event with a resounding win against Yuka Sakazaki. However, AEW could be focusing on building Mone's reputation with a faction rather than promptly planning her next title defense because there isn't a clear challenger. 

Harley Cameron is doing her hardest to be on the card for the main AEW show in her native nation by arranging a title bout at Grand Slam Australia. Kamille, the former NWA Women's World Champion, provided Mone with some backing in the past. This is a significant turning point in Mone's career as the former WWE champion keeps forging her route away from the spotlight. Her entrance is expected to significantly alter the landscape of HOG, one of the largest independent promoters in the United States.

Mone's AEW tale takes new turn

According to Fightful Select, on January 29, The Renegade Twins were backstage at AEW Dynamite. There has long been discussion of bringing Robyn Renegade and Charlette in for "integration" with Mercedes Mone. Since 2021, the Renegade Twins have made appearances in AEW. In November of 2024, Charlette Renegade made a comeback to the ring after missing the majority of the year.

Red Velvet recently faced Robyn Renegade for the ROH Women's World Television Title, but Velvet won to maintain her title. If this action is taken, Mone's AEW tale may take a new turn. Fans have been waiting to see if AEW will match her with new allies since her relationship with Kamille ended, and The Renegade Sisters might be the solution.
