One AEW enthusiast in the crowd received a little more attention on Wednesday night than the firm likely intended. When Jon Moxley was mid-sentence in a promotional video for Orange Cassidy, a fan taunted him with a WWE comment that had people talking online.
Fans expressed their displeasure with the arena's lack of fans for Wednesday's AEW Dynamite episode in a variety of social media posts. It only matters because it illustrates how problematic the company's attendance situation has become. In another, one fan was able to easily take over the promo due to the poor turnout.
"Go back to Roman!" is yelled by a fan in the video below at about the 35-second mark. The rest of the audience was either silent or paying close attention to what Jon Moxley was saying, depending on your point of view, so the statement stood out. The internet fan response has been quick, but Moxley didn't respond or halt his thought process.

Jon Moxley needs to return to WWE
AEW was the target of the remark, which also suggested that Moxley needs to return to WWE, where business is flourishing. According to the underlying message, Moxley would be better off leaving the sinking ship that is AEW and joining his old faction member from The Shield. The fan, who was captured on video expressing his disapproval of Moxley's route and his membership in AEW, is unlikely to be taken seriously by Moxley.
AEW owner Tony Khan trusts Moxley to handle his creativity and make his own decisions, in addition to the fact that he is highly compensated and plays a significant role in the organization's goals. In WWE, where he decided to quit because he didn't feel valued or free to express his views, he isn't going to have that sort of freedom.
