Christian Cage has been killing it as an AEW heel for the past year or two, with his war on departed fathers. On Saturday, June 15, he will appear in a "Father's Day Special" segment on Collision, where he aims to maintain his winning run. In a recent interview, Christian agreed with Chris Van Vliet's claim that he is now creating his best work ever. However, he noted that Christian Cage of AEW and Christian of WWE are not the same person when doing so.

On tonight's (June 15) first anniversary episode of AEW Collision, Christian Cage honored Father's Day weekend with a chat show. The Patriarch went in the ring tonight to celebrate Father's Day with his stablemates. After supposedly honoring Nick Wayne's father, Buddy Wayne, Cage got warm presents from his sons.'

Nick Wayne initially handed Cage a Father's Day card, probably written by a youngster. The upstart wanted to honor his "father" and prove his allegiance to him. The gesture touched the former TNT Champion, who termed it the best present he had ever received.

Christian had the entire Patriarchy in the ring

Christian had the entire Patriarchy in the ring with him, and it didn't take him long to bring up Nick Wayne's late father, Buddy. Christian mentioned that today is the first anniversary of Nick's biological father's death, which turned out to be the finest thing that could have occurred to Nick because it brought him to Christian.

After some foolishness in which Nick and Killswitch gave Christian Father's Day gifts that were met with mixed results, Christian decided to give them his gift. The Patriarchy will compete for the AEW World Trios Championship, thanks to the assistance of EVPs Matthew and Nicholas Jackson. This is the next phase in Christian's quest to earn every AEW honor and become the greatest wrestler of all time.

The masked man appeared to have reached his breaking point, as he turned around and attempted to walk away.  In the end, Christian Cage persuaded him to stay and shoot an angry promo criticizing Tony Khan and the entire promotion. He also talked about his aspirations to win championship gold.
