Mariah May had a thunderous entrance for her maiden title defence at AEW Dynamite. The AEW Women's Champion defeated Nyla Rose to remain the champion successfully. Her entrance was on fire and the fans were extremely impressed with the Glamour Mariah. May entered the arena with a white dress and the championship on her waist. The commentators raved about the incredible entrance of May.

Mariah May was full of confidence as she walked down the arena. She knew it was just a matter of time to defend her title. The fans booed May who walked into the ring. The commentators spoke about how May became the world champion. They discussed how May betrayed her former mentor Timeless Toni Storm after winning the Owen Hart Tournament.

May had little to care about it. The commentators noted that Toni was beaten by May at AEW 'All In'. Something similar was expected from May given how incredible she has been in the last few months. She has beaten the top wrestlers on the women's roster like Willow Nightingale, Saraya, Harley Cameron, Toni Storm, and so on. In her maiden title defence, may was up against Nyla Rose.

May claimed a win via pinfall by pulling off her signature finisher against Rose. Just a few weeks after winning her title, May had her maiden title defence. It looks like Mariah wants to be a fighting champion on the roster. While her title defence is not set at 'All-Out' yet, there could be a chance of her taking on Toni shortly.
