Jonathan Coachman claims Tony Khan ghosted Shane McMahon (Source: Google)
Jonathan Coachman claimed Tony Khan ghosted Shane McMahon for asking AEW's full authority. Jonathan said Shane asked for equity in the company and run the entire show. He claimed Tony was the one who ghosted Shane and not the other way around. Coachman felt Shane being with Vince McMahon at Super Bowl did not help him to figure out his plans.
Jonathan was on the show named 'The Coach & Bro Show' where he made the massive claim. "I have it on good authority that Shane McMahon asked for the world. He asked for equity in the company and he asked to come in and run the entire show," Coachman claimed.
Shane was one of the top figures in the WWE authority during the Ruthless Aggression Era. He worked with Vince, and others, and made a name for himself. While Shane moved away from WWE for years, he returned in 2016 and delivered his best work for over 6 years.
'I actually agree with Tony Khan ghosting him' - Jonathan Coachman
In August 2024, an image went viral on social media where Tony interacted with Shane. As Mercedes Mone claimed it was her who clicked the photo, many wondered if Shane could associate with AEW. As it turned out, he never made his AEW debut which was reported to happen at 'All In' in 2024.
Jonathan added that it was one of the fewest times he agreed with Tony. He said Tony was the one who ghosted Shane and not the other way around. Coachman felt Vince showing up at the Super Bowl did not help him to figure out the plans. His statement went viral on social media and many felt it could be true.
"It was probably the first time that I said to myself I actually agree with Tony Khan ghosting him, because Tony ghosted Shane, it wasn't the other way around. And the fact that Shane was at the Super Bowl with his dad, it's like he can't figure out what he wants to do," Coachman added.
