Just prior to the Netflix docuseries release on Vince McMahon's career premieres, Jeff Jarrett responds to a recent X post. In a statement published on September 23, Vince McMahon said that the preliminary version of the planned Netflix documentary series "Mr. McMahon" was "misleading" in his opinion.
A documentary series on the former owner of the WWE, Vince McMahon, has been formally announced by Netflix to go live on the streaming service on September 25, 2024. The six one-hour episodes of the series will be on air soon. Before the debut, McMahon's official Twitter X account released a comment about it.
Jeff Jarrett of AEW shared his opinion on McMahon's comments and the date of premiere on his podcast. Jarrett stated, "Okay that last line.'I hope the view will keep an open mind and remember that there are two sides to every stroy.' Well, Connie, I'm going to king of contradict that statement. I Think there's always three sides. What is fascinating about all of this is the timing of it. Now, it's being released on a Wednesday. Does Netflix usually release new episodes on Wednesdays? I'm not the biggest Netlfix watcher. It's interesting that they're releasing it on a Wednesday. The timing of its very, bery interesting."
'A deceptive narrative'
Many in the wrestling community have expressed their opinions regarding the recently released six-part Netflix documentary about the life of former WWE executive Vince McMahon, from the first WrestleMania to the claims made by Janel Grant, a former employee of the company, in a lawsuit alleging sex trafficking and abuse. WWE Hall of Famer and current AEW standout Jeff Jarrett is one of those people. During a recent episode of his podcast, "My World," Jarrett talked about McMahon's remarks on social media about the show, referring to it as "a deceptive narrative" and telling viewers to remember there are two sides to every story.
According to Jeff Jarrett, McMahon wasn't going to back down, judging by the timing of his statement on Tuesday. According to McMahon's co-host Conrad Thompson, the purpose of releasing a statement ahead of the premiere was probably to "do damage control."
