NBA fans got a sneak peek at the forthcoming Starting 5 documentary series on Netflix on Tuesday, and many are eagerly anticipating its debut. The Oct. 9 release date of Netflix's Starting 5 features NBA players LeBron James, Jayson Tatum, Jimmy Butler, Anthony Edwards, and Domantas Sabonis. The teaser was published ahead of time.

The documentary series' deep dive into revealing many facets of some of the top NBA stars was demonstrated in the teaser. Videos of the athletes' relatives and loved ones being interviewed were included. Even Zhuri, the youngest child of James, appeared while talking about her great-father.

Starting 5 is a 10-part series that will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the 2023–24 season from each player's viewpoint. It was announced by Netflix last month as the newest addition to its lengthy roster of critically praised sports programs.

The show appears to take a closer look at LeBron James and Tatum's life both on and off the court. Both athletes are parents and have made no secret of their affection for their kids. James will participate in the 2024–25 season alongside his eldest son, Bronny.

The series captures their battles on and off the court

Many years prior, the forward for the Lakers was hugging his kid when he helped the team win the 2007 NBA Finals. After winning the title just this past season, Jayson Tatum shared a heartwarming moment with his son Deuce that went viral. "The series captures their battles on and off the court as they chase greatness, push through injuries, and balance the demands of family and legacy," according to a statement as per Bleacher Report.

Watching James' struggles to maintain his health during his 21st NBA season and Edwards' handling of his ascent to superstar status after he proved he was one of the league's future faces would be entertaining for fans. Tatum assisted in guiding the Boston Celtics to the 2024 NBA title, while Butler, Sabonis, and their teams experienced ups and downs during their seasons.
