Beth Phoenix and Samantha Irvin were spotted backstage during AEW Dynamite. Samantha exited WWE as a ring announcer in 2024 as she couldn't get a push to be a manager. After Adam Copeland made his move from WWE to AEW, Beth has been out of action. Her signing a contract with AEW could be good news for the women's division.
Phoenix had a great career in WWE where she was one of the top stars of the company. She was booked as an equal to some of the male stars in some instances. She had a great legacy in the promotion and was honored with the Hall of Fame. She exited from the company after Edge moved from WWE to AEW.
Likewise, Cope has been doing well in AEW since his debut in 2023. The star wrestler was against the mid-card champions till 2024. Since returning at AEW Worlds End, the WWE Hall of Famer has been against the Death Riders. Jon Moxley holds the world title and Cope might be his opponent.
Will Beth Phoenix and Samantha Irvin move to AEW?
On the other hand, Ricochet and Samantha Irvin were both in WWE in the first half of 2024. The star wrestler got a decent push in March before making a move to AEW. He made his AEW debut at 'All In' and has had a feud against the likes of Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher, and Kazuchika Okada.
Samantha asked for her release from WWE citing a preference over her music career. In some of the conversations on social media, she claimed that the promotion not being interested in her being a manager led to her making an exit.
If what she claimed is to be believed, there are signs of her interest in a bigger role in Wrestling. AEW could be a destination for her due to many reasons. She could get to be a manager in Tony Khan's company. Likewise, Beth could make her AEW debut and reunite with Cope. Fans felt such possibilities could not be ruled out.
