Defending the MLW World Heavyweight Championship in Battle Riot VII will be Matt Riddle's most difficult task yet. A total of 39 wrestlers, including Hollywood actor Paul Walter Hauser, previous world champions, and "The Nomad" Bishop Dyer (also known as Baron Corbin), are competing against the King of Bros. Previously known as Baron Corbin in the WWE, Bishop Dyer made his MLW debut.
Bishop Dyer, formerly known as Baron Corbin, participated in the Battle Riot at MLW Battle Riot VII. Bishop Dyer, a former WWE superstar, has made his big promotion debut as Baron Corbin. However, in November 2024, he left the Stamford-based organisation. After beginning his career with World Wrestling Entertainment in 2012, Baron Corbin made a name for himself by taking home many belts. To everyone's astonishment, the former US Champion's contract with WWE was not renewed when it ended in November of last year.
Corbin has appeared for many independent wrestling companies since that time. Corbin was just revealed to be making a big MLW (Major League Wrestling) debut. On April 5, 2025, he participated in a Battle Riot bout with 40 men. When the Lone Wolf first joined the organisation, he assisted Dijak, a former WWE colleague.

Baron Corbin attacked Matt Riddle
Corbin and Dijak attacking MLW World Heavyweight Champion Matt Riddle. Baron Corbin recently appeared on the Ariel Helwani Show and expressed his excitement about his MLW debut, saying he thought the promotion was doing interesting things. Before stating that he would accomplish "amazing things" for the organisation, Corbin noted that Major League Wrestling already had well-known figures. It remains to be seen what Major League Wrestling has planned for Baron Corbin going forward.
