'PKL has changed our lives' - Gujarat Giants skipper Guman Singh has high praise for PKL

Guman Singh was in an interview ahead of the PKL 2024 where he spoke about his career. The star player was picked by Gujarat Giants for a whopping price of INR 1.97 crores. Guman claimed 163 raid points in 18 matches for his previous franchise. He said that PKL has changed the lives of many players and was grateful for the same.

After putting on a good performance for U Mumba in the PKL 2023/24, Guman became one of the players in high demand. He was one of the most expensive players at the PKL auction 2024. Guman was in an interview where he recalled how his career began.

The star player said Cricket was his primary passion but ended up switching to Kabaddi after his uncle found his ablities. "I was fond of cricket but decided to switch to kabaddi after my uncle recognized my ability at a very young age," Guman said everyone wanted to be on TV by being a Kabaddi star.

'Everything that we have is because of PKL' - Guman Singh

Singh added that he wanted to pursue his career in Kabaddi after knowing about its benefits. "The PKL also started around the same time (in 2014), and everyone wanted to be on TV! I started playing to get away from my studies, but when I realized the benefits, I decided to pursue this sport as my career," Guman added.

He then spoke about the change in his lifestyle after being a Kabaddi star. Guman felt that the sport changed his life for good. He claimed that everyone knows him which often makes him emotional. The star player claimed that PKL and Mashal Sports have changed the lives of a lot of athletes.

"Kabaddi has given me everything. Everyone knows and recognizes me now and it gets very emotional. Pro Kabaddi League, and Mashal Sports, has changed our lives. Nobody knew us before, but now everything that we have is because of the league," added Guman in the interview who was grateful for the PKL.
