After a late start of the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka International Circuit Red Bull and Max Verstappen made a remarkable comeback to clinch their third win of the 2024 season. With this win, Verstappen recorded a hattrick of victories at Suzuka equaling Michael Schumacher's record.

Things became more prizing for Red Bull as Sergio Perez finished second to make a 1-2 finish for the Bulls. Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz Jr. clinched the third position with a gap of -20.866 seconds. Notably, Mercedes Lewis Hamilton finished 9th as his wait for a podium finish continues. He last won a race two years ago.

The race started with a first lap crash which triggered a red flag. RB driver Daniel Ricciardo and Williams’ Alex Albon found themselves crashed at Turn 2 just after the start of the first lap. This caused a brief halt in the race which was eventually won by Max Verstappen.

Max Verstappen continues to dominate!

This victory was way smooth for Red Bull and Max Verstappen as since the re-start of the race Verstappen maintained the brief distance which eventually helped him to register a record-equaling victory.

Notably, this win was very important for both Max Verstappen and Red Bull, especially after their horrific run in the Australian GP. It was a horrid show from both as Verstappen was forced to retire his car. Apart from Red Bull, Ferrari also had a great race as Spaniard Carlos Sainz who surpassed his teammate Charles Leclerc in the last moment to register a podium finish.

Notably, Carlos had won the Melbourne GP and this win marks his third podium finish of the season. Another Mercedes superstar Lewis Hamilton continued his disappointing show as he finished ninth with a gap of almost -48.626 seconds. This is his last season with the team before his move to Ferrari next season.
