Manu Bhaker is now the talk of India after bagging two medals in the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024 to make billions proud. The Haryana star clinched two medals in the shooting event and became the first-ever athlete from independent India to win two medals in a single edition of the Olympics.

The 22-year-old opened her campaign with a bronze in the women's 10m air pistol on July 28, becoming the first woman shooter from India to win an Olympic medal. She continued her impressive run and won another bronze in the mixed category two days later in the same event alongside Sarabjot Singh.

While the whole of India continues to shower love on the youngster for her massive milestone, Bhaker highlighted that she is also a champion of sportsmanship and camaraderie. As she mentioned that PV Sindhu and Neeraj Chopra inspired her, she also confessed that she had created a fake profile to defend the badminton star from online trolls and hate comments.

"I have always known the greats in Indian sports history. In my time, I have always known (PV) Sindhu and Neeraj (Chopra). I have always appreciated them for their hard work. This one time, I made a fake profile to defend Sindhu. Some haters commented and I got so triggered that I made a fake account to defend her on that," Bhaker told Sportstar.
