Paris is hosting the Olympics from the 26th of July to the 11th of August. Along with Paris, 16 other cities will also host the event after being a part of the Metropolitan France. Paris will be the second city to host the Olympics thrice after London. Breakdancing is set to make its debut this time. The estimated cost of hosting the event is around €8.3 billion. In 2017, Paris won the bid to host the event.
The last edition of the Olympics, the Tokyo Olympics, which should've happened in 2020, got postponed to 2021, due to the pandemic. The United States of America topped the medal table with a tally of 113 medals (39 Gold Medals, 41 Silver Medals, and 33 Bronze medals). China, Japan, Great Britain, and ROC (Russian Olympic Committee) finished in the second, third, fourth, and fifth spots, respectively.
The USA, China, Japan, ROC, Australia, Great Britain, France, Italy, Germany, and The Netherlands will be some of the top teams to watch out for this time. Over the years, these teams have been amongst the top ten in the points table. Some of the top sports in the world like Football, Rugby, Tennis, Hockey, Basketball, and Volleyball will be the ones to watch out for. Additionally, some events like Athletics, Wrestling, Boxing, Gymnastics, Archery, Shooting, Swimming, and Diving will be worth watching.
