The users on the Internet have claimed the IOC to be hypocritical in allowing Israel to take part in the Paris Olympics 2024 while not allowing the likes of Belarus and Russia in the event. As the conflicts at the international level between Israel and Palestine do not seem to have a near end, the users are frustrated by the Asian country taking part in the marquee event.

Earlier this week, a masked Psychopath released a video threatening bloodshed at the Paris Olympics 2024 if Israel was allowed to take part in the event. There has been a demand from a certain section of the users online to ban the Asian country from the event, especially after Belarus and Russia got their ban for war against Ukraine.

The users felt it was hypocritical for the IOC to allow Israel in the event as they have been a part of the violence against innocent people. It is worth noting that some of the athletes from Belarus and Russia have decided to be a part of the AIN which has been formed by the IOC for the representation and the participation of these countries in the event.

Russia's representation snubbed for a second consecutive time in Olympics

The users wondered why Russia and Belarus met the same fate and not Israel. The athletes from Israel will be able to take part in the Olympics 2024. It will be the second consecutive event where Russia will not be taking part in the Olympics. In the Tokyo Olympics, they were banned due to involvement in doping. The athletes took part in the event under the flag of ROC.

The users felt either the IOC had to ban all of Russia, Belarus, and Israel from the event or ban neither of them as a matter of equality. Hence, the users felt it was a bit ironic for the IOC to allow one of them to take part in the event while the others weren't. On the 26th of July 2024, the opening ceremony of the event is set to take place where the athletes from 203 countries will be taking part.
