Carlo Ancelotti and Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Carlo Ancelotti went through a humiliating match as his team faced AC Milan, losing 3-1 at home in the Champions League on Tuesday, marking a disappointing follow-up to their 4-0 defeat against Barcelona in El Clasico. With two losses in their first four games of Europe's biggest league this season, along with being nine points behind in La Liga.
One factor that has been under discussion is the performance of Kylian Mbappe. The talented French striker has scored just one goal in his last six games, and some teammates, including Karim Benzema, have noted that he may not be utilized in his most effective position. However, Ancelotti has worked to reassure fans and players alike that he is committed to maintaining a cohesive atmosphere within the dressing room.
Following his side's embarrassing defeat at home, Ancelotti met AC Milan's icon Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the stadium. The two shared a light-hearted moment and Ancelotti congratulated Zlatan differently.
He asked Zlatan to pay for their dinner when he visited Milan as a token of celebration for his side's impressive victory at Santiago Bernabeu.

Ancelotti's take on his Side's Performance
In a post-match interview, Ancelotti acknowledged that criticism regarding their attitude and training is valid. He accepted these opinions and recognized that the team was not performing at their best, expressing a strong desire to improve. He emphasized that each year presents challenges that require struggle, resilience, and thoughtful reflection. It is unusual for a team that has had a successful run to experience a sudden decline. He believes that when a team becomes complacent, setbacks can occur, and that lesson is certainly applicable to their current situation.
"There'll be a lot of criticism, about our attitude, training... What critics think, we have to accept. We aren't doing well. We want to do better. Like this it's hard to get to the end of the season. Each year, there are difficult moments where you have to struggle, fight, and think. What isn't normal is that this team had a good run, and has fallen very fast. That's part of football. When you think everything is perfect you fall, but the good thing about football is that you can react." Ancelotti said.
