Kylian Mbappe absent France

The decision has once again been made that Kylian Mbappé will not be part of France squad for the games against Italy and Israel later this month. Last month, Kylian Mbappe had been left off Didier Deschamps' squad on the grounds that he had suffered a thigh injury when competing for Real Madrid. He was expected to miss the entire international break due to this injury. On the evening of Deschamps' team announcement, he did, however, recuperate sufficiently to appear for his club versus Lille OSC during the UEFA Champions League.

In the final match before the international break, Mbappé started for Real Madrid versus Villarreal as well. In order to prevent getting hurt and ruining his hopes of winning the 2025 Ballon d'Or, Mbappé was only interested to play "important" for his country.

“He might end up at Real Madrid” : Jamie O’Hara

Due to his quick introduction for Ruben Amorim's team, Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres is the buzz of the town this season. In just 15 games across all categories, the Swede has scored 23 goals, including a hat-trick against Manchester City previously this week as Sporting defeated the Premier League powerhouse 4-1.

Kylian Mbappe, who joined Real Madrid's Galacticos in Spain, has been having trouble playing as a number nine within Carlo Ancelotti's lineup. According to O'Hara, Real Madrid should try to recruit Gyokeres in order to boost the team's performance.

The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder said, “Any club in the world would take Viktor Gyokeres right now. He might end up at Real Madrid – they really need a centre-forward at the moment. They’ve signed Kylian Mbappe from PSG and he’s just not doing the business for them up front. They’ve fallen off a lot this season.”

The former Fulham playmaker added, “I think Gyokeres plays like Erling Haaland. He’s strong, physical, athletic and knows where the net is. He’s got no fear in taking in defenders 1v1 – I like him a lot. He could go anywhere in Europe with the goals he’s scoring at the moment.
