Lamine Yamal showed why he is one of the most promising youngsters in the world as he equalised for Spain during their UEFA Euro 2024 semi-final encounter against France. The FC Barcelona winger showed class as he took a shot from outside the box and Maignan stood no chance in saving that.

In the 9th minute of the game, Kylian Mbappe was discovered by Ousmanne Dembele on the right, and with a simple touch, he placed a gorgeous cross into the box. The attacker for Real Madrid found Randal Kolo Muani, a former teammate at PSG, who had a clear header and scored with ease.

Kylian Mbappe playing without the face mask

In France's semifinal UEFA Euro 2024 encounter against Spain, Kylian Mbappe started. Mbappe didn't participate in France's 0-0 tie with the Netherlands after breaking his nose in the team's opening 1-0 victory over Austria. France manager Didier Deschamps had expressed optimism that his star attacker could play with a face mask on.

Even though he has worn a mask the entire tournament, Mbappe will not be donning one against Spain tonight. The captain of France is having trouble seeing out of the masks that have been put on in order to safeguard his fractured nose from the opening match of the UEFA Euro 2024.

Lamine Yamal breaks Pele’s record with appearance against France

Today in the Munich Football Arena, France and Spain are playing in the semifinals of the UEFA Euro 2024. Lamine Yamal, a right winger for Spain, is starting eleven in the semifinal match. Yamal, who is only 16 years old, made history as the youngest player ever to compete in the Euros.

In addition to surpassing Pele's record, the youthful phenom is now the youngest footballer to ever appear in a major international competition quarterfinal. With a record breaking 16 years and 362 days, Yamal surpassed Pele's mark set at the 1958 FIFA World Cup. The 17-year-old record held by Brazilian icon Pele has finally been surpassed by Spain's rising star.
