Kylian Mbappe playing without the face mask
In France's semifinal UEFA Euro 2024 encounter against Spain, Kylian Mbappe started. Mbappe didn't participate in France's 0-0 tie with the Netherlands after breaking his nose in the team's opening 1-0 victory over Austria. France manager Didier Deschamps had expressed optimism that his star attacker could play with a face mask on.
Even though he has worn a mask the entire tournament, Mbappe will not be donning one against Spain tonight. The captain of France is having trouble seeing out of the masks that have been put on in order to safeguard his fractured nose from the opening match of the UEFA Euro 2024.
