According to Dutch media, PSV Eindhoven and Liverpool have not communicated about midfield player Joey Veerman. The Netherlands international came up earlier today as a potential addition to Arne Slot's team, who are eager to add a natural "number six" this summer.

It comes after Marseille, the French giants, made a proposal for midfield player Wataru Endo that the Reds rejected. The amount was reportedly around £11.8 million. The 31-year-old was a constant for Liverpool in the previous campaign, making 43 appearances across all competitions (20 of which were starts in the Premier League), and leading Jurgen Klopp's team to a League Cup victory in his first year as a red.

Endo left Stuttgart in August of last year for a reported fee of approximately £16.2 million to sign a four-year contract with Liverpool. Veerman, a Dutch international, would suit the bill for Arne Slot's team, who are reportedly looking for a dedicated "number six" this summer.

However, Elfrink, a journalist from Eindhoven, has downplayed rumors that he would relocate to Anfield during the summer. Veerman has been linked to a transfer to Liverpool, but Elfrink says he has no interaction with each of the parties despite rumors to the contrary.

The Journalist tweeted and said that, "Veerman - Liverpool is just a rumour. Just like last week Trabzonspor - Luuk de Jong. There is currently no contact between any of the parties, according to a generally reliable source."

Joe Gomez set to leave Liverpool during the summer window

Joe Gomez, who was included in the England team for the UEFA Euro 2024 and is presently on vacation, is said to be fully aware of the circumstances. Next week, he will return to the AXA Training Center to begin preseason training under new Liverpool manager Arne Slot.

According to reports, Gomez must now decide whether to quit Anfield this summer due to "growing interest" in the defender. Although Liverpool has "yet to receive an official bid" for their No. 2, any deal might force them to look for a new center defender.
