UEFA and the European Club Association have embarked on an exclusive negotiation phase with American agency Relevent Sports, focusing on global commercial rights for Europe’s men's club competitions, as reported by The Independent. This innovative deal could pave the way for Champions League games to be played in the United States by 2033, with Relevent Sports eager to introduce high-profile matches to North American audiences.

Relevant Sports, led by billionaire Stephen Ross, owner of the Miami Dolphins, is poised to take control, signaling the end of an era and a significant transformation for European football. UEFA's longstanding 30-year partnership with TEAM Marketing is now under threat, and the potential transition to Relevant has sparked shockwaves throughout the organization. This shift could also lead to the loss of 170 jobs, a serious consequence of this impending change.
"The Board of UC3, the joint venture between Uefa and the European Club Association (ECA) has agreed to enter into an exclusive period of negotiation with Relevent Sports over the global commercial rights to the UEFA men's club competitions for the period 2027-2033. The decision follows an open tender process, launched last summer, which attracted bids from a number of global and regional agencies." read the statement
