Will Ferrell, a Hollywood superstar is joining the list of celebrities who are investors in Championship Club. As per reports Will Ferrell will be investing a big amount in Leeds United as he has fell love with English Football.

The 49ers Enterprises has owned the club since last summer, when they finalised a £170 million purchase. While another Hollywood actor Russell Crowe already owns an interest in Leeds, having 'considering' making an attempt to acquire the club in 2015. The current Leeds owners are the San Francisco 49ers NFL franchise's investment arm, and its shareholders include a number of US sports, notably golfers Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas.

“The 49ers will be announcing his involvement in the coming days and he’s looking forward to sprinkling a little stardust on the club,” a source told The Sun according to ONEFOOTBALL.

Ferrell has acted in various films, including Elf, Anchorman, Step Brothers, Daddy's Home, and Bewitched. He is a lifelong fan of sports and a part-owner of the Major League Soccer team Los Angeles FC. Will Ferrell has an net worth of $127 million.

Ferrell attended a game in February featuring Wrexham. Wrexham club is owned by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. Ferrell and Reynolds featured together in Spirited. Two days later, he was at Anfield, when Liverpool defeated Everton 2-0 in the Merseyside derby.

After Saturday's loss to Southampton, Leeds are now placed on third position in the Championship and will now play Norwich City in a two-leg play-off. The winning team of the game will face West Brom or Southampton on 26 May at Wembley stadium. The winner of the match will be promoted to top tier league i.e. Premier League. In last season Leeds United were relegated from the Premier League due to poor performance. Going to the game everything is on the line for Leeds United.
