Liverpool is the only club so far that hasn't signed any player in this transfer window. In recent times Liverpool managed their transfer strategy and since the arrival of the new manager Arne Slot, they have decided to bring those players who are going to be a good fit to the club's playing style. Meanwhile, ahead of the upcoming Premier League season, Arne Slot has trusted his players and have not spent money on new signings.
In this summer transfer window, Liverpool were able to save a lot of money. Though they were interested in signing Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon was linked with Liverpool but the club is not interested in him now. In terms of past transfer signings under the guidance of Richard Hughes and Michael Liverpool has managed to make some right decisions and has gained profit from it.
In the 2018/19 season, Liverpool won the UEFA Champions League in which they didn’t announce any new signings. Later after the season ended Harvey Elliott was the first player signed by Liverpool. Following that, they also signed Adrian and Andy Lonergan. Ahead of the new Premier League season which will start later in August many clubs have signed some new players and started to build a good team.
Transfer window is still open which makes the club think of new signings
However, this time the transfer window is still open and if Liverpool thinks of adding any player who makes their squad a good contender for the title race, they will look to sign him but they are looking for the impact which will be the club’s favour. Before the Premier League season starts Liverpool will play against Sevilla in their last pre-season match. Liverpool will play against newly promoted club Ipswich Town on Saturday 17th August. This will be the first match for Arne Slot in the Premier League with Liverpool as manager. After Jurgen Klopp left the club after nine years Arne Slot was announced as manager of the club.
