The English Premier League has already announced the fixture for the 2024/25 season. In the next season, there will be some new changes that will be taking place in the world's toughest league. The management has decided that the clubs will no longer have to abide by a 60-minute embargo to release team news ahead of games from next season. So the fans will get the news earlier than the hour mark before the game starts.

Presently the clubs must not release team news before an hour of the kick-off, but they have to submit the team list to the Premier League before that. However, a small change in the Premier League handbook ahead of next season will be included that playing 11 and substitutes now have to be submitted at least 75 minutes before the time fixed for the kick-off of a league match with the current embargo now being removed.

From August, team news will be revealed 15 minutes earlier than before in an attempt to align with UEFA tournaments, giving unhappy Fantasy Premier League participants an extra quarter of an hour to rant when their captain is demoted to the bench. It is one of four major changes planned for the next season, along with VAR modifications and the eventual introduction of semi-automated offsides during one of the fall international holidays.

EPL to introduce semi-automated offside after international breaks

The date for semi-automated offsides has not been announced, although it is expected to occur after one of the international breaks. The Premier League say it "will provide quicker and consistent placement of the virtual offside line, based on optical player tracking. But the jury will remain out for anyone who has absorbed VAR’s messiness."  The most recent Premier League rule book states that: "

A representative of each participating Club shall submit a team sheet by such method as approved by the Board containing the following particulars: L.23.1. the shirt numbers and names of its Players (including substitute Players) who are to take part in that League Match; L.23.2. the colour of the Strip to be worn by its Players, including the goalkeeper; and L.23.3. the names and job titles of up to seven Officials who will occupy the trainer’s bench during that League Match. L.24.
