Carlo Ancelotti spoke to the media about him getting angry with Jude Bellingham over the past couple of days. He said that, "I called him and he didn't pick up and I told Vinicius to call him and he picked up."
The Madrid star will be happy that his boss can joke about Bellingham's actions, even though Ancelotti first "got angry" about it. Don Carlo is among the game's coolest heads, but other managers may not have appreciated Bellingham's blanking. Bellingham is now on vacation following his success at Euro 2024, however on August 14 he should be back in action against Atalanta during the UEFA Super Cup.
Ever since the England player joined the team in the summer, Bellingham and Ancelotti usually get along well. It has not all been easy sailing, either. The Three Lions midfielder was controversially benched early in the last campaign, and because of his gregarious nature, he occasionally has conflicts with other professionals.
Any ailment will almost certainly be resolved before Madrid's next preseason game, which takes place at Bank of America Stadium in North Carolina against Chelsea. Arriving off a disappointing 2-1 defeat to fierce rivals Barcelona, Los Blancos are going to be eager to resume their winning ways in this encounter.
Real Madrid vs Chelsea in doubt because of tropical storm
During their tour in the United States, Real Madrid have not experienced the best success with the weather. Thunderstorm risk was there for their Chicago match against AC Milan, but it wasn't very high. Ultimately, it never happened, because the game was carried out without any issues.
Real Madrid did, however, have to deal with the bad weather in New Jersey when rain and lightning arrived 12 minutes into their Clasico versus FC Barcelona. After more than an hour and a half, the match had to be paused, but it was eventually finished. They went onto lose the game 2-1 but their main players have still not arrived.
