Borussia Dortmund will be facing Real Madrid in the final of the UEFA Champions League at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday. The German side will be looking for redemption on the weekend on the very same ground where they lost a final almost over a decade ago against Bayern Munich. They qualified for the finals of the tournament against all the odds as after being drawn in the 'Group of Death' alongside Paris-Saint Germain, Newcastle United and AC Milan, they finished second.

The club's star footballer Jadon Sancho who has been on loan from Manchester United might be playing his final game for the German side. Despite the interest from the sporting director Sebastian Kehl for keeping the English winger permanently, the management cannot afford to keep the footballer as the English club will demand a €40m (£34m/$43m) fee, which is considered to be "insurmountable" for the German giants.

Sky Germany's Jesco von Eichmann believes that the price will be too much for the club to afford him at the present moment. The 25-year-old winger since joining back to the Yellow and Black side have found his old form and played an amazing brand of football and has been crucial for the team to qualify for the final of the European competition as well.

Will Sancho stay at Dortmund?

Erik ten Hag and Sancho was never on good terms during his spell at United and he was removed from the squad photo as well. The winger already decided that will not be returning to Old Trafford if the Dutch manager will be there in next season because the new Red Devils management is counting on the English footballer in the squad-building process for the upcoming season.

However, the transfer market is yet to open and the transfer saga of the footballer will be an interesting one for the fans as they will be keeping a tap on every single movement done by both clubs and the footballer himself. The disappointment for the footballer continues as he has not been named in the England squad for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2024
