UEFA Champions League-winning manager Jürgen Klopp has put to rest the speculations of his return to the managerial role this summer. He revealed a possible time for his return to the touchline during a recent media interview.
The German football manager has a notable portfolio when it comes to managing top football clubs. He has won several European club titles during his 24-year managerial stint.
Jürgen Klopp to return next summer
Currently serving as Red Bull's football global head, the German tactician is dedicated to overseeing operations across the company’s football portfolio, which spans clubs on all five continents – Europe, South America, North America, and Asia. Despite persistent rumours linking him to the Real Madrid position, as per current reports, current priorities indicate that a managerial return, if it occurs, likely won't be before next summer at the earliest.
Following the conclusion of his 9-year managerial stint at Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp joined Red Bull as their global head. It is reported that he has taken a liking to his new job in light of the better work-life balance it provides. The German gaffer recently turned grandfather, and hence, the chances of his immediate return to the touchline appear bleak.
Despite Klopp's visible satisfaction, Spanish media continue to associate him with a potential future at Real Madrid. The German himself has never dismissed the idea of coaching at the international level. Klopp had shown interest in managing a national team, with Germany being the most likely option. However, he has also kept the possibility open for other countries, including the United States and England.
Even if Jürgen Klopp appears to have detoured from his track of becoming a world-class manager, it is only a matter of time before the fans once again get to see the tactical think tank on the touchline. Till then, he is focused on shaping the future of football in his current job role.
