Liverpool's manager Arne Slot reveals talking to Jurgen Klopp before and after games

Arne Slot mentioned that Jurgen Klopp frequently reaches out with feedback after matches, though they haven't yet discussed strategies for navigating a tense title race. During his time at Liverpool, Klopp secured one league title, but his tenure also saw near misses against Manchester City on not one but two occasions.

With Manchester City effectively out of the title race for this season, Slot's team heads into the weekend with an impressive eight-point lead over Arsenal, despite having played one game more. The Dutch manager emphasised that there are valuable lessons to learn from past Premier League seasons.

Slot, along with Liverpool, faced criticism last summer for making only one signing: the often-overlooked Federico Chiesa. When asked about the possibility of a summer overhaul after this season, he was clear that discussions about the forward line are off the table but confirmed that they are assessing every single position within the team.

Arne Slot reveals Klopp compliments the team 

In his conversation with Klopp, Slot emphasised that their discussions haven't been around managing a Premier League victory. He pointed out that Klopp primarily offers compliments after matches. However, Slot expressed that he can discuss these matters with Jurgen, drawing on his own experience in such situations.

'No, we haven't spoken about (managing a title race). He's only mostly given a lot of compliments after a game. I can talk to Jurgen; I've experienced it." Slot said.

"But it's quite an important two or three months to go. And we have some contract situations to take care of, so there's a lot of work to do in the background, but my main focus is on the current squad." Slot added.
