Arne Slot feels 'special' after guiding Liverpool to Carabao Cup final

During the second leg of Carabao Cup final Liverpool breeze into the final after defeating Tottenham Hotspur by 4-0 at Anfield. After winning the game Arne Slot felt special to finals. Coming into the second leg of the game Tottenham Hotspur had an advantage of  1-0. But failed to capitalize on the lead as Liverpool won the game by 4-1 on aggregate. In his first season with the club, Arne Slot has led the team into the finals. Now Liverpool will face Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup Final at Wembley on 16th March.

Cody Gakpo opened the game in the 34th minute as he got the cross from Mohamed Salah. Five minutes after the first half started Mohammed Salah scored a penalty to give Liverpool the lead. Later Dominik Szoboszalai and Virgil van Dijk added goals each to make sure Liverpool reached the final game. 

In his first season with Liverpool, he guided the team into the final and is now focusing on the next game. Liverpool will be back for the FA Cup quest as they face Plymouth who are in Sky Bet Championship. During the press conference after the game, he expressed his feelings. "It's pleasant, although if you know me a little bit, my thoughts are more on Sunday already than thinking about the final in the month."

He also shared his thoughts on how he feels after reaching finals. "Our performance was something that pleased me. Reaching a final should be special, even this club because this club is used to playing finals, but still, we are working very hard every single day to try to improve players and the players want to improve themselves every single day," he said.

Liverpool got promising start under Arne Slot 

Under manager Arne Slot who joined the team after Jurgen Klopp left has got an opportunity to lift his first trophy with Liverpool. Since the arrival of Arne Slot had big opportunity of maintaining the benchmark set by Jurgen Klopp. As the new season has started for Liverpool he has given the club a promising start. Under Arne Slot Liverpool can quadruple which includes the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Carabao Cup, and FA Cup. 

The final game of the Carabao Cup will be an exciting clash between both teams as Newcastle United is missing out on winning the domestic title since 1955. They reached the final by defeating Arsenal. While Arne Slot aims to win his first trophy with Liverpool.
