Last year,  Cristiano Ronaldo participated in an event in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, to announce the country's inaugural Esports World Cup in 2024. As a global football icon with a massive fan following, Ronaldo's involvement was pivotal in generating greater interest in the Gamers8 event, especially considering his close ties with Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo's eSports World Cup Story

Back in 2023, Cristiano Ronaldo promoted the mega eSports event titled eSports World Cup via his Social handles, where he invited exceptional and talented gamers, clubs and athletes from across the globe to participate in the largest gaming festival in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. 

A year later, the Portuguese Superstar attended the final ceremony of the eSports World Cup along with other dignitaries, celebrities, athletes and fans. Ronaldo described it as an "unforgettable night " as he joined the world in post-match euphoria to congratulate the inaugural champions of the inaugural eSports World Cup - Falcon gaming. 

Ronaldo joined hands with Saudi Prince Mohammed Bin Salman for the event last year; fast forward to 26th August 2024, and Ronaldo was proud and honoured to witness their brainchild ( eSports World Cup) turn into reality.
