Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes reflected on the team's performance after their 3-2 victory against Ipswich on Wednesday, noting that there were moments when Ruben Amorim's style of play faced difficulties.

Despite the tough circumstances, including being reduced to 10 men following Patrick Dorgu's red card for a tackle on Omari Hutchinson shortly before halftime, Fernandes emphasized the team's resilience and determination to secure the win.

The evening began and ended disastrously for Dorgu, who joined Manchester United during the January transfer window. A catastrophic blunder with goalkeeper Andre Onana handed Ipswich an early lead just four minutes into the match at Old Trafford.

Despite this setback, United rallied in the first half, equalizing with an own goal from Sam Morsy, followed by Matthijs de Ligt's decisive close-range strike that put them ahead. However, they once again found themselves tied at halftime as Jaden Philogene capitalized on Dorgu's reckless red card to score his second goal. Harry Maguire showed his aerial superiority and regained the lead for United shortly after halftime with a bullet header from a set-piece, assisted by Fernandes.

"Me and H (Maguire) have been here for a while already, so we know we have to stick with what we've been training, what we've been trying to do, what we're supposed to do." Bruno said.

"You could feel in moments it's not working but for some reason the manager wants us to do that. The moment is what it is. We've been suffering; we know that. We've not been at our best. And as H said today, when you're not playing your best football and concede a goal early but still get back into the game." Bruno added.

Amorim, who took over from Erik ten Hag in November, has faced problems in securing positive results since his arrival at Old Trafford. He has consistently emphasized his desire to coach Manchester United according to his preferred principles, advocating for his style of play in the long term, regardless of its short-term outcomes on the pitch.
