WATCH: Zlatan Ibrahimovic shows his class to youtuber Ishowspeed

Earlier today, as Zlatan Ibrahimovic was in Milan, popular streamer IShowSpeed ran across him. This was by far his most chance encounter yet. The American content producer, whose real name is Darren Watkins, is recognized for using his social media channels to live-stream games and everyday life. His YouTube channel, for example, has nearly 26.1 million subscribers.

Recently, Speed has been traveling throughout Europe at breakneck speed. He has stopped in Sweden, Poland, and Norway, where he had been surrounded by hundreds of admirers when he tried to flee a store. In addition, he provided live commentary during last week's quarterfinal Euro 2024 match between Portugal and France. where he sobbed after seeing his hero, Cristiano Ronaldo, eliminated from the tournament.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who seemed truly delighted to see Speed despite the fact that he mispronounced his name during their encounter, is currently working with the 19-year-old to create content. After that, Zlatan tried to go one-on-one with Speed, but the American was down after the former PSG and Manchester United striker shoved him in the shoulder.

Later, during their shared cab ride across the city, Zlatan was asked which player he preferred: Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi. The answer from the former FC Barcelona striker was one that suited him only as he gave his name as the answer. 

IShowSpeed’s rise in the football community

IShowSpeed was able to enter the Manchester United's FA Cup after-party back in May. Videos of the 19-year-old streamer fighting with supporters of both sides at Wembley surfaced while he was there, sporting his 2023/24 United shirt.

Following his invitation to the after-party, he posed for photos with a plethora of players, including Scott McTominay, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Marcus Rashford, Kobbie Mainoo, as well as Rasmus Hojlund. Actually, before Speed tried to mimic Ronaldo's overhead kick against Everton, he and Garnacho performed the "Siuuu" celebration. He also once showed the meme that linked him to the content developer to goalie Andre Onana.
