Bournemouth entered this fixture in a commendable seventh place in the Premier League standings, marking a successful season that has surpassed everyone's expectations so far.

Liverpool headed into the match sitting at the top of the league table, showing outstanding form over the past year. They had also dominated the Champions League group stage, finishing in pole position.

In contrast, Bournemouth has consistently held their ground against the Premier League's strongest teams this season and looked determined to do the same against the Reds.

The Tale of Salah's dominance

Liverpool asserted control right from the start. They never allowed Bournemouth to make leads into the game.

In the 30th minute, Liverpool seized their scoring opportunity when Cody Gakpo was clearly tripped in the box. Mo Salah confidently stepped up to take the penalty.

With that goal, Salah secured his tenth in just 11 Premier League matches against Bournemouth. This impressive strike brought his total to 20 Premier League goals for the season in just 24 games.

In the 75th minute, Liverpool extended their lead. The talented Egyptian forward netted his 21st Premier League goal of the season, as his team surged ahead.

Jones made an impressive play by passing the ball to Salah in the box. Salah then executed a perfectly curled shot into the top corner, leaving Kepa with no opportunity to save.

With this remarkable goal, Salah achieved a notable milestone, surpassing Frank Lampard to claim the title of the sixth-highest Premier League goalscorer of all time. With the two goals, Mo Salah had now amassed 178 goals for Liverpool.

Liverpool went on to win the game 2-0, further solidifying their lead at the top of the Premier League standings.
