However, Crystal Palace responded effectively and regained the lead in the 57th minute. Following a well-placed corner from Hughes, Lacroix outjumped Walker in the box to connect with the header, successfully finding the back of the net for Palace's second goal of the match.

Lewis rescued the champions 

Lewis was the star who helped the Premier League champions secure a vital equaliser with a stunning strike an absolute screamer.

From approximately 15 yards out, the City defender expertly placed the ball into the top left corner, capping off a brilliant team move. The assist came from Silva, who delivered a beautiful pass right at the edge of the box. The fullback was eventually booked in the 84th minute and received his marching orders. Manchester City reduced to 10 men, held onto a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace in a difficult away fixture.
